Gehlee’s Rise: From Universe Ticket to UNIS Stardom
From the very beginning, Gehlee Gimena Dangca captured hearts as one of the standout contestants of Universe Ticket. Her sweet charm, strong will, and undeniable talent made her unforgettable among fans and viewers.
Fast forward to today, Gehlee has blossomed into one of UNIS’ rising stars. Not just a performer, but an inspiration to many. Now at 18, Gehlee’s journey speaks of growth, dedication, and transformation.
Once seen as the “princess twirl” girl of her early trainee days, she now takes the stage with fiery confidence and blooming presence. Her nickname is pronounced as "Jelly", but beyond her nickname lies an artist steadily finding her own voice and identity.
At only 18, Gehlee is already achieving so much, carrying with her not just the pride of EverAfters and Lovies, but also the pride of her fellow Filipinos. Her journey is a reminder that growth is possible with passion and perseverance, and her story is just beginning.

The Road to Debut: Hardships, Hustle, and Growth
But Gehlee’s journey has never been about shortcuts. Before becoming an idol, she was already a loving daughter, a model, a host, and a pageant contender, carrying with her the advocacy of Youth Empowerment. At just 15, she was competing on big stages. Then came Universe Ticket: her leap into the world of K-pop.
With only a handful of dance lessons, Gehlee braved the industry where most idols train for years before debuting. What she lacked with dance, she made up for with courage, discipline, and passion. Her growth was not instant, but earned. Every persistent step showing a love for her craft. Today, fans witness her transformation: from humble beginnings to a performer on stage with grace and fire.
Her singing now, especially with their recent release SWICY, proves just how much she has grown vocally. Gehlee’s tone shines clearer, her control stronger, and her energy more captivating than ever. Each performance reflects her hard work, showing everyone that she’s no longer just a trainee with potential, she’s an artist standing tall with her group, leaving a mark with every note and movement.
When she officially debuted as the fourth member of UNIS, Gehlee began showing that she is really a gem in the K-pop industry. From her dancing to her vocals, she proved that she belonged on stage, transforming into a confident, versatile, and captivating performer. When UNIS released their latest EP SWICY, it further showcased her growth. Her vocals are powerful and controlled, leaving a lasting impression on fans.
A Special Bond with Fans and Birthday Projects Full of Heart
Even before her debut, Gehlee had already named her supporters Lovies, a term that reflected the warmth and closeness she felt toward them. When she joined UNIS, the group’s official fandom name EverAfters was born, uniting fans of all members. Still, Lovies remain Gehlee’s personal circle — a symbol of the bond she built long before the spotlight.
This bond was celebrated in full during the “Into the MaGEHLEEcal Realm” cupsleeve event (CSE) at Tim Hortons Cubao on August 9. Organized by the Gehlee Lovies Dreamhouse, Gehlee’s official fanbase, the event included free food, cakes, exclusive merch, balloons, and heartfelt birthday greetings. Gehlee’s family attended to personally thank the fans.

Another fan project was made by Gehlee Kindred Advocates, a small but dedicated independent group who quietly supported the celebration by handing out free water and cookies to fans outside the CSE venue. Their efforts reflect a simple yet meaningful commitment: to honor Gehlee’s Youth Empowerment advocacy and spread kindness, showing how much her example inspires them and those around her.

Another fan project will be held by UNIS Davao, especially for fans in Davao Philippines, with a cupsleeve event on August 30, 2025. Registration is now open at a fee of ₱270, giving fans another chance to celebrate Gehlee and be part of this special birthday tradition.
Meanwhile, EverAfters Malaysia also organized a birthday project gathering, extending the celebration internationally and showing the global love and support for Gehlee from her fans.
Adding an extra touch of magic, Marvie gave unicorn bands and cupcakes (@Iscuriousmarvie in X) — spreading color, joy, and unity among Lovies and EverAfters alike. 🦄
Beyond these organized projects, countless other Lovies and EverAfters contributed in their own ways, handing out free merch and goodies to celebrate Gehlee and UNIS Fancon. While too many to name individually, their efforts highlight the strong, supportive, and vibrant community that surrounds her. A bond Gehlee has fostered with her fans worldwide.
To highlight these UNIS FANCON initiatives from lamp posts and EverAfter videos to Fanzone freebies, banners, etc. would be too many to mention. However it all adds an extra layer of excitement and makes Gehlee’s birthday celebration truly unforgettable!
